MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

We Know Hollywood.

You can too.

You have challenges like picking the right story, developing it, getting people to read it, and/or getting them excited enough to be attached.

We've done this for decades. Still do it. And we'll show you how too. With whatever budget

With whatever budget you have, we can likely match you with a mentor to give you a customizable roadmap, and step-by-step support, (either 1-to-1 or in small groups) to get you real results. Fast.

...and we’ll see what we can do!

One BIG suggestion: hire a mentor to get involved EARLY in your process. The earlier you bring them in (the concepting phase is best) the bigger impact they'll make on every following step of your process.

FAQ

Why pay? Shouldn't mentorship be free?

Free mentorships are great but the mentee is always subject to the goodwill and availability of the mentor. The mentee can often find themselves asking for favor after favor. For people from traditionally excluded backgrounds, asking for any favor can be a hard, if not impossible ask. Sometimes, we feel just grateful to be there. With a paid mentorship we establish clear expectations on time and work on both sides. It establishes the mentee on a clear, professional relationship with the mentor. Paying a fee makes it open access to you and removes any selection bias in picking mentees. When you work with AIM, we match you with a mentor who is best suited to you and your agenda, not ours.

What does it cost?

Our mentors charge different rates depending on their availability. If you have some money to invest in your career, we recommend spending it on 1-to-1 mentorship as this intensity will accelerate your development. If money is tighter, we will do our best to fit you in to a small group of clients where costs can be shared.

Who makes money from this?

Mainly the mentor. Age Inclusion in Media is a nonprofit so we are driven by our mission to champion age-inclusivity across the creative industries. This means generating profits is not our priority, but we do have an obligation to not lose money. We, therefore, include a small service fee in what mentees are asked to pay. Any surplus we make is reinvested in the program to help keep costs low for mentees.

Will you get me an agent / work?

No. Nobody can guarantee that other than a representative or buyer. Our role is to deliver world-class support in raising the level of your craft and your approach to the business, to put you ahead of your competition and significantly raise your chances of reaching any career milestone as quickly as possible.
